Balenciaga is a high end Fashion House founded in 1919 by Spanish Designer Cristóbal Balenciaga in Sean Sebastian, Spain. His reputation of uncompromising standards earned him the name “the master of us all” by none other Christian Dior himself. His art was worn by the Spanish royal family and the aristocracy, and Balenciaga later moved his stores and brand to Paris France due to the Spanish Civil War. He continued production during WWII due to his connection to General Francisco Franco during the German occupation and was 1 of 60 allowed to operate.

His post notable protégé was Hubert De Givenchy. And in the Spring of 2016 Demna Gvasalia would be announced as the new artistic director of Balenciaga.
