DRKSHDW by Rick Owens started in 2005 following the SS04 & FW04 ‘ SLAB ‘ line and began as a denim label but quickly showed it could offer more than just denim garments. Nonetheless DRKSHDW bottoms are arguably the most coveted on the market and come in a variety of shades and cuts. These Archive Detroit Cuts come in a grey coating over over naval denim, hints of navy can be seen along the hems, waistband, seams, and distressing. These are first ever pair of DRKSHDW denim I owned and are still a popular pair I wear. From my personal closet and a piece I’ve taken to custom repair work over some of the factory distressing and natural wear distressing that started to occur. Navy threading used to sew some of the distressing in place along the leg, thigh and arse seam. I thought the navy stiching would add to the hints of navy along the waistband, seams, and hems.
