HE BECAME POPULAR VIA THE NEW-WAVE HARAJUKU MOVEMENT ALONG WITH VARIOUS OTHER JAPANESE DESIGNERS. AFTER GAINING THIS WIDESPREAD RECOGNITION IN JAPAN, MIYASHITA HAD HIS FIRST INTERNATIONAL SHOW IN PARIS FOR HIS AW2004 “GIVE PEACE A CHANCE” A.K.A. THE ANTI-WAR COLLECTION.
