Number (N)ine was founded in 1997 by Takahiro Miyashita. Taking its name from the song “Revolution 9” by The Beatles, music was especially influential to Number (N)ine when compared to most brands of its time and this is prevalent in many early 2000s designs that have lifted the brand to its current cult status. Although Miyashita has stepped away from (N)ine to focus on TheSoloist in recent years, his early work is still a staple in archival fashion circles to this day.

This suede leather longsleeve was released in the Spring & Summer 2001 Collection titled “Time Migration” and was seen on the runway.
