In April 2007, Kris Van Assche was announced as the creative director of Dior Homme starting in the Spring & Summer 2008 season. Kris Van Assche was an assistant to Hedi Slimane at the time of Dior Homme's launch, and had experience with Dior Homme until September 2004, when his brand was founded. His first season attracted attention with classic and elegant elements & reissued some of Hedi’s iconic pieces. Although he was whispered about by Slimanes resignation, Dior Homme continues to grow to this day, partly due to Ash's success.
